Job summary

Platinum Communities is seeking a Med Tech to provide high-quality personal care and safe medication administration to residents. You will support ISPs, monitor changes in condition, and mentor new staff while collaborating across departments to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include performing the Six Rights of Medication Administration, assisting with ADLs, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. A compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of CBRF medication administration training and required CBRF core trainings.
• Previous caregiving experience in a CBRF or RCAC setting preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team oriented.
• Understanding of and commitment to HIPAA and confidentiality protocols.
• Flexible and available to work beyond regularly scheduled hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to learn new technology.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications in accordance with the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Provide ADL assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and ambulation.
• Review ISP prior to assuming care responsibilities.
• Promptly report changes in a resident’s condition, behavior, or needs.
• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
• Properly store, secure, and dispose of medications.
• Assist dietary staff with meal setup and resident dining needs.
• Support activities team by encouraging resident participation and events.
• Mentor and train new caregiving staff during onboarding.
• Attend mandatory meetings and ongoing in-service opportunities; complete required trainings.
