Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a Med Tech in Chester, VA to provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living and medication administration. The role requires CNA and Med Tech licenses, CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

You will support residents with daily activities, report incidents to nursing staff, and help with move-in transitions while maintaining patient confidentiality and teamwork with the nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must possess both CNA and Med Tech licenses from the State Board of Nursing in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Must satisfactorily pass all medication cart audits assigned.
• Must attend 4 additional hours of medication administration education annually.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and medication administration.
• Provide quality care and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Report incidents and communicate resident status to RNs/LPNs and supervisors.
• Perform housekeeping tasks as directed.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Support new residents during move-in with emotional reassurance and orientation.

## Med Tech - ALApplylocations: Chester, Virginiatime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR-0040226701 Ironbridge Parkway, Chester, Virginia 23831# Job DescriptionThe Med Tech provides quality care and assistance with activities of daily living for residents of the community as well as assists with the administration of prescribed medications within the established scope of practice.* Assists with the administration of prescribed medications within the established scope of practice.* Must maintain a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the position* Assists residents with activities of daily living* Reports incidents involving residents to include care concerns or issues, to appropriate individuals (ex: HCD, RN/LPN, or ED)* Perform housekeeping duties, such as making resident beds, cleaning resident apartments, common areas, dining room, etc. as directed by supervisor* Respond promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts* Assists in planning and conducting activity programs for residents* Follows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident information* Assists residents to and from the dining room, and to and from activities* Checks on residents, ensures attendance at meals and activities* Checks on residents who are ill and reports status or concerns to appropriate individuals* Communicate verbally and in writing to report resident status, upcoming community information, resident appointments, admissions, and transfers* Assists new residents with move-in transition: provide emotional support* Attendance to all medication trainings scheduled* Complete medication cart audits as assigned and maintain the medication cart as directed* Pass all medication administration observations* Communicates all medication resident needs to the HCD and documents in the Daily Log* Re-orders medications, faxes to pharmacy, communicates with resident family/RP as needed with changes.
