Job summary

The Gilbert Residence in Ypsilanti, MI is seeking a Med Tech to provide direct, primary care to residents across Supportive Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care units. The facility cares for 32 residents with memory care for 58 residents, focusing on compassion and dignity in daily care.

The Med Tech will document care, assist with admissions/discharges, perform rounds with physicians, administer medications, and coordinate with families to ensure smooth, respectful care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Med passing experience required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of medications and therapies.
• Reliable and flexible; weekend rotation required.
• Positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Meets with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate resident care.

Job description

The Gilbert Residence provides exceptional nursing care to 32 residents. Supportive Living, Assisted Living and Specialized Dementia care to 58 residents. We carry a long tradition of excellence by providing compassionate and dignified care.

The med tech provides direct, primary care to residents, and delegates/supervises the care provided by the resident assistants for a designated shift. He/She is responsible for working in a coordinated effort with the department managers to maintain the smooth function of the Assisted Living and Memory Care units.

DUTIES

• Meets with members of the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate resident's care
