Job summary

Yorktown Assisted Living Residence in Cortlandt, NY is seeking a Med Tech (Resident Medication Aide) to support daily medication administration for residents in assisted living/memory care.

You will maintain medication programs and documentation, supervise home health aides, and assist with doctor visits and pharmacy tasks. On-the-job training offers growth opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a medication technician.
• US work authorization preferred.
• Certified Medication Aide, First Aid and/or CPR certifications, if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily administration of medication to residents.
• Maintain resident medication programs and documentation, including distribution, ordering, reception, file management and storage.
• Complete required incident reports as needed.
• Provide supervision to the home health aides.
• Assist with doctor’s appointments, pharmacies and daily living activities.
• Exhibit ethical behavior and work cooperatively with team members.
• Receive on-the-job training and opportunities for career growth.

New Rate: Up to $23/hr - $25/hr w/ Diff is at $27/hr

What you will do as a Med Tech (RMA)

• Assist with daily administration of medication to residents (assisted living/memory care)
• Maintain resident medication programs and documentation, including medication distribution, ordering and reception, file management, and storage.

• Complete required incident reports as needed
• Provide supervision to the home health aides

• Enhance the lives of older adults by assisting with doctor’s appointments, pharmacies, and daily living activities
• Exhibit ethical behavior and work cooperatively with other talented team members in daily support of residents
• Receive on-the-job training and discover opportunities for career growth and advancement
• Must have Certified Medication Aide, First Aid and/or CPR certifications, if required by state

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Previous work history as a medication technician ( 1 year)
• US work authorization (Preferred)
