Job summary

Sapphire Health Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated Med Tech to work at our Community Based Care facility in Clatskanie, Oregon. You will administer medications, support daily living activities, and coordinate with nursing staff to sustain high quality resident care.

This is an on-site position with training provided to ensure compliance and safety. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and prior healthcare experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in healthcare setting preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and assisting with mobility.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Working out of our Community Based Care facility, the Med Tech is responsible for administering medications to our residents in accordance with the established policies and procedures as directed by the supervisor. Sapphire will provide the training and resources to keep our employees engaged and maintain top quality care.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Fosters a supportive, compassionate environment for our residents and their families.
  • Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications to residents as prescribed, following all state and federal regulations, facility policies and procedures and maintaining accurate medication records.
  • Report changes in residents' conditions to appropriate team members.
  • Assistance with Daily Living: Support residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with nursing and other healthcare professionals to create and maintain individual care plans for each resident.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all care, medications, and any observed changes in residents’ conditions in accordance with company policies.
  • Emergency Response: Act promptly and calmly in emergencies, following established protocols to ensure resident safety.
  • Family Communication: Communicate with residents' families regarding health status, medication changes, and overall care updates, fostering trust and transparency.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies regarding healthcare and safety standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living, long-term care or community based care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting clients with mobility.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living, long-term care, or community-based care.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move residents as needed, as well as stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
