Job summary

Mariella of Grapevine is currently seeking qualified candidates for the Medication Technician role. We will host open interviews on August 13th and 14th from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. In this position, you will provide direct care and medication assistance to our residents.

We are looking for candidates with a high school diploma, prior med tech experience, and state-certified credentials. Flexibility and a positive attitude are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous med tech experience in a similar environment.
• Certification based on state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in medication administration and maintain security and accountability for medications.
• Inventory and reconcile controlled substances with a teammate when responsibilities change.
• Weekly verification for residents approved to self-administer medications and complete MAR as applicable.
• Review medication books for errors.
• Plan and engage residents in leisure activities to foster socialization.
• Collaborate with Dining Services for related tasks.
• Assist with activities of daily living including grooming, hygiene, bathing, and transfers.
• Perform housekeeping to keep resident spaces safe and tidy.

Mariella of Grapevine is currently seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

We will be hosting open interviews on August 13th & 14th from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM

We are looking for Medication Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will provide direct care and medication assistance to our residents.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist in medication administration including maintaining security and accountability for medications during shift.
• Inventory controlled substances and provide accurate reconciliation of the inventory. Count controlled substances with another team member each time responsibility of medication administration changes.
• Weekly verification that residents who are approved to administer their own medication you are doing so and, where applicable, are completing the medication administration record sheet.
• Assistance with the review of medication books for errors.
• Plan and engage in leisure activities, fostering socialization and friendship among residents.
• Team up with the Dining Services Department to assist with associated tasks.
• Provide assistance or reminders with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning and brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed.
• Spread happiness through general housekeeping duties, keeping our residents' living spaces clean, safe, and tidy.
