Job summary

Belmont Village Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician to assist residents with daily medications in our Assisted Living and Memory Care communities. You will monitor responses, maintain electronic medical records, and support licensed nurses with admin tasks.

This role suits candidates who aspire to become licensed nurses and value hospitality and aging services. The position offers full-time Sunday to Wednesday shifts or part-time Monday and Tuesday shifts, with a focus on empathy,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months caregiver experience in a licensed community.
• C.N.A. license where required.
• Current Medication Technician or Aide Certification where required.
• Clear verbal and written English communication.
• Intermediate computer and mobile device skills.
• Professional, pleasant and team-oriented attitude.
• Consistent and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide personal care per physician orders and ADL guidelines.
• Maintain accurate medical records and report reactions or refusals to the licensed nurse.
• Take resident vital signs and monitor responses or side effects.
• Attend shift meetings and update nursing staff on resident conditions.
• Collaborate with team to ensure high-quality care and customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to infection control, fire safety, and hazardous materials guidelines.

(Part Time) Monday and Tuesday 2:30pm to 11pm

Your Typical Responsibilities

• Administer Medications and Provide Personal Care: Follow physician's orders and community guidelines for administering routine medications and providing assistance with ADL care as needed
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate medical records and report any reactions or medication refusals to the licensed nurse.
• Vital Sign Monitoring: Take resident vital signs and observe any responses or side effects.
• Shift Communication: Attend shift meetings and update nursing staff on resident conditions.
• Customer Satisfaction: Work collaboratively with a team to ensure the highest quality care and services are provided resulting in overall customer satisfaction
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all resident rights, state, and federal regulations, including infection control, fire safety, and hazardous materials guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a Caregiver in a licensed community or facility
• C.N.A. License in states where required
• Current Medication Technician or Aide Certification in states where required
• Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Intermediate computer and mobile device skills
• Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude
• Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community
