Job summary

Tmr-Management-LLC is seeking a Medication Technician to administer prescribed medications and assist residents with their healthcare needs in a senior living community.

Duties include administering medications per physician instructions, monitoring for adverse reactions, documenting care, preparing medication carts, recording vital signs, and communicating with residents, families, and staff to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of a state-approved medication technician training program.
• Previous experience in a senior living or healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications to residents per physician instructions and facility protocols.
• Monitors residents for adverse reactions or side effects and reports findings to the nurse or supervisor.
• Assists residents with personal care tasks such as hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities.
• Maintains accurate documentation of medication administration and resident care in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Prepares and organizes medication carts with proper storage and labeling of meds.
• Assists in taking and recording vital signs and reports any irregularities to staff.
• Provides emotional support and fosters a caring environment for residents.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, and team members to address healthcare concerns.
• Participates in training and orientation for new employees to maintain a collaborative team atmosphere.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Administers prescribed medications to residents in accordance with physician instructions and facility protocols.
• Monitors residents for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications and reports findings to the nurse or supervisor.
• Assists residents with personal care tasks, including hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities, as needed.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of medication administration, observations, and resident care in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Prepares and organizes medication carts, ensuring proper storage and labeling of medications.
• Assists in taking and recording vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and reports any irregularities to the appropriate staff.
• Provides emotional support to residents and fosters a caring and positive environment.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, and team members to address healthcare concerns and ensure quality care.
• Participates in training and orientation for new employees and contributes to maintaining a collaborative team atmosphere.
