Alameda Health System in San Leandro, CA, seeks an experienced SLH Manager, Med/Surg to provide 24/7 administrative leadership of the unit, directing patient care and staff performance while ensuring alignment with AHS policies.

The role oversees budgeting, staff development, quality reporting, and coordination with medical staff to deliver coordinated care. Strong leadership and RN licensure are required.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, health or business administration.
• Five years' progressive management experience in leadership/clinical areas.
• Valid California RN license.
• BLS certification (AHA).

Mansioni

• Plans, coordinates and supervises the nursing activities of the unit on a 24-hour basis.
• Coordinates patient-centered care with unit staff and other department heads.
• Evaluates nursing care and investigates complaints; completes reports as needed.
• Assists in budgeting and cost control for the department.
• Plans staffing and schedules to ensure adequate nursing coverage.
• Directs quality reporting and CER preparation; reconciles medical record deficiencies.
• Develops unit competencies and orientation programs.
