Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Red Bluff, CA. The role focuses on patient-centered care in med-surg and telemetry units, with emphasis on safety, assessment, and collaboration with the care team.

The traveler will deliver high-quality nursing care, monitor cardiac telemetry, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader clinical staff. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany the assignment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and document changes
• Prepare patients for diagnostics and assist physicians
• Maintain safe and comfortable environment for patients
• Document patient information in medical records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create care plans
• Manage multiple patients and prioritize based on acuity
• Ensure infection control practices and PPE use
• Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences
• Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with external resources
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards
