Advantis Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a 26-week contract at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. The role pays $1,771 per week and follows a Nights shift with a 3x12 schedule.

As the Med Surg RN on this assignment, you will care for a varied medical-surgical caseload, administer medications, educate patients and families, and manage admissions, discharges, and safe transitions of care.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent Med Surg nursing experience.
• Active Kentucky RN License is required.

This Med Surg travel nurse position in Somerset, Kentucky, with Advantis Medical is a 26-week Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) contract at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. This role pays $1,771 per week and follows a Nights shift with a 3x12 schedule.

As the Med Surg registered nurse on this assignment, you'll prioritize care across a varied medical-surgical caseload, administer ordered medications and treatments, educate patients and families, and manage admissions, discharges, and safe care transitions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of patients with acute and chronic medical-surgical conditions, including postoperative care when assigned
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor for changes in condition, escalating concerns promptly
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers with the interdisciplinary care team

Travel Nursing Requirements:

• 2+ years of recent Med Surg nursing experience
• Active Kentucky RN License

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is an acute care hospital serving south-central Kentucky, with internal medicine and family medicine residency programs.

• The emergency department operates around the clock, and the hospital holds Joint Commission certification as a Primary Stroke Center.
• General surgical care extends across the emergency department, medical-surgical floor and ICU, connecting acute evaluation, operative treatment and inpatient recovery.
• Intensive care services include neurological, cardiac, medical and surgical care for patients requiring closer monitoring and treatment during critical illness.
