Job summary

Pampa Regional Medical Center in Texas seeks a Medical Surgical Telemetry RN to provide specialized care in Med-Surg and Telemetry units with cardiac monitoring focus.

The RN will oversee patient safety, comfort, and cardiovascular surveillance during hospitalization, collaborating with physicians and nursing teams. The role offers a nights shift, 12-hour shifts, Full Time employment, and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plans.
• Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment, which allows for remote monitoring of patients' heart rates and rhythms.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous medications, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
• Provide hands-on care to patients, including wound care, administering treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and providing emotional support.
