Sunbelt Staffing in Georgia is seeking an experienced RN for a contract med-surg/telemetry role in a large accredited hospital. You will support multiple units, float between Med/Tele, manage post‑surgical and cardiac patients, and use EPIC EMR and Pyxis systems.

The role requires 2+ years in med-surg/telemetry, active RN license and BLS certification. ACLS preferred (must pass EKG competency on onboarding).

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• 2+ years of med-surg/telemetry experience
• BLS certification mandatory; ACLS preferred (must pass EKG on onboarding)
• Strong assessment, time management and interdisciplinary care coordination
• Proficiency in trach care, chest tube management, IV starts/maintenance and glucommander use
• Able to monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage post-cath patients and cardiac drips (insulin, heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone, milrinone, Digoxin, nicardipine)
• Med-Surg certification a plus; first-time travelers considered

Responsabilités

• Manage patient loads typical of med-surg/tele units (RN ratios 1:4-6)
• Oversee patients with acute/chronic disease, post-surgical recovery, cardiac conditions and multi-system co-morbidities
• Float between all Med/Tele units as needed in a resource-rich environment
• Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris pumps, Philips monitors, Pyxis and other state-of-the-art equipment
• Support and collaborate with 24/7 respiratory therapy, hospitalists and intensivists
