Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Nursing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Athens, Texas. Start ASAP with nights, 12-hour shifts, and 36 hours per week. This travel position requires a current RN license, 1 year of Med Surg experience, and active BLS certification.

Compensation includes competitive pay, benefits, and a support system from a dedicated clinical team to help you succeed on assignment. NIHSS/ACLS certifications are preferred, and licensure reimbursement is available.

Qualifications

One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.

Responsibilities

Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring understanding.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ conditions, documenting changes and reporting concerns to the care team.
Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians during treatments, and monitor patient responses.
Maintain infection control practices and ensure patient safety across med-surg/telemetry units.
