Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Med Surg 5W at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with days 7:00AM-7:30PM. New grads welcome; sign-on up to $10,000 for experienced nurses or $5,000 for new graduates.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, coordinating care, and upholding Mercy service standards while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with ADN, Nursing Diploma, or BSN.
• Must hold and maintain a current RN license in Missouri or compact license.
• Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on unit.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and protects patient rights.
