The RN provides nursing care via the nursing process, ensures safety, and collaborates with the team to meet patient needs. New graduates are welcome, with a Transition to Practice program to support clinical reasoning and competency development.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing required (Virginia or Compact).
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Oncology care course or Sentara-approved provider card within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process and critical thinking.
• Coordinate care, teach and promote health, and collaborate with the care team.
• Care for Med Surg patients including diverse conditions and post-acute needs.
