Job summary

Mercy Hospital Lincoln is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Surgical unit on a PRN basis. The role requires nursing process application, coordination with multiple departments, and safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate will hold a Missouri RN license (or Compact license meeting MO requirements), have 1 year in Med/Surg or related settings, and be BLS certified within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current Missouri RN license or Compact RN license meeting Missouri Board of Nursing requirements.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in Medical-Surgical, Acute Care, or hospital nursing.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required within 30 days of hire; ACLS/PALS may be required by department.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, and squat during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
