Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for Med/Surg 3 - PRN - Days in Baton Rouge, LA. The RN will provide care using the Nursing Process, collaborate with the care team, and support patient education and safety initiatives.

Responsibilities include assessing learning needs, delegating appropriately, and maintaining high standards of nursing practice in a fast-paced setting. Prior med/surg experience is preferred; BLS and active RN license required.

Qualifications

• Requires RN Diploma or higher and active RN license in state of practice.
• BLS through American Heart Association required.
• Experience in med/surg or acute care preferred, with ability to work PRN days.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the Nursing Process.
• Assess patient education needs and provide teaching.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.
• Maintain patient safety and care standards.
