Job summary

Advocate Health’s nursing team seeks a registered nurse for a full-time Med/Surg unit. You will apply evidence-based care, lead and participate in quality initiatives, and coordinate with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, updating plans, and documenting accurately in the EHR. Must have a BSN preferably and a valid RN license for the state of practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) served.
• BSN preferred and may be required for some roles.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate patient care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team to influence outcomes.
