Qualifications

• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings, reporting changes to care team.
• Provides age-appropriate care based on growth and development.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency and scope.
• Collaborates with team to implement individualized care plans.
• Responds to emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities as needed.
• Advocates for patient rights and needs in planning and delivery.
• Educates patients and families about conditions, plans, and post-discharge care.
• Implements infection control protocols to prevent infections.
• Operates and monitors medical equipment safely.
• Supports patient safety and maintains clean, safe environment.
• Participates in audits, chart reviews, and compliance checks.
• Documents care and education thoroughly in medical records.
• Engages in professional development to maintain competency.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives to improve outcomes.
• Orthopedics RN: pre/post-op care, assessments, pain management, patient education.
• Telemetry RN: monitor heart rhythms, trends, and patient care with cardiac focus.
