Job summary

Mercy Health in Fairfield is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med-Surg team at Fairfield Hospital. The RN will deliver compassionate nursing care, assess patient status, administer medications, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to improve outcomes.

Preferred is a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and current RN licensure. One year of RN experience is required, with six months in acute care preferred. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
• Current state RN licensure is required.
• BLS is preferred upon hire; ACLS acceptable in lieu of BLS.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Collect vital signs, administer IV medications, understand charting and assess patient condition
• Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with Mercy Health policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
