Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. is seeking an experienced registered nurse to administer patient care in an acute care setting, including in Hospital Care at Home. The role emphasizes assessment, care planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.

You will act as a patient and family advocate, supervise or educate staff as needed, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Pediatric/ICU experience may apply in certain units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• 1 year experience required unless AVP level or above approval.
• Hospital Care at Home – two years acute care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient’s needs and develops a care plan based on patient needs and responses.
• Respects diversity by building respectful relationships with all team members and customers.
• Functions as a patient and family advocate.
• Provides care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the unit/department.
• Acts as a preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, or nurse clinician.
• Communicates and collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrates competency in nursing skills and use of patient care equipment.
• Maintains regular, punctual attendance and compliance with policies.
