Job summary

Northwest Health La Porte is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care across the nursing process in an acute care setting. You will coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to ensure high-quality outcomes while fostering a compassionate environment for patients and families.

Required: RN licensure and BCLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred. 0–2 years of experience in a clinical or student rotation setting is expected.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN licensure required.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care following the nursing process.
• Assess patients, document findings, and report changes to care team.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency scope.
• Collaborate to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in life-saving CPR and code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
