Job summary

Mena Regional Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager. Duties include assessing needs, planning and implementing care, documenting progress, and potentially serving as lead or charge nurse.

The role requires AR RN licensure, BLS CPR certification, with ACLS/PALS preferred. Five years hospital experience is preferred, and shifts may include evenings, nights, or weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensed in Arkansas as a Registered Nurse (R.N.).
• BLS (CPR) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and evaluate responses to treatment.
• Direct delivery of nursing care and promote teamwork within the nursing treatment team.
• Document observations on flow sheets and progress notes; may function as lead or charge nurse.
• Participate in computerized health information systems.
• Prepare reports for departmental and accounting purposes in a timely manner.
• Maintain standards required by regulatory entities.
• Participate in all special events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May be required to work evenings, nights, and/or weekends as needed.

Job Summary:At the direction and control of the Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse provides professional patient care services.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs, plans and implements patient care activities and evaluates the patient’s response to treatment
• Manages activities within the therapeutic milieu and directs delivery of nursing care by other members of the nursing treatment team while promoting teamwork.
• Documents on individual flow sheet and progress notes all pertinent and meaningful observations and information
• May function as lead or charge nurse
• Participates in computerized health information systems.
• Prepares reports for departmental and accounting purposes in a timely manner.
• Maintains standards required by regulatory entities
• Actively participate in all special events
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• May be required to work evenings, nights, and/or weekends on a regular or as needed basis.

Qualifications

Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and Licensed in the State of Arkansas as a Registered Nurse
BLS (CPR) Certification Required
ACLS preferred but not required.
PALS preferred but not required.

Experience: Five (5) years’ hospital experience preferred.
