Job summary

Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is hiring a Flexi/PRN RN for Med Surg. We welcome new graduate applicants and offer starting pay for new grads with less than 1 year of experience at $36.00/hr, with rotating shifts.

The Medical-Surgical unit provides learning, 21 beds, RN-to-patient ratio of 1:5 or 6, PCT support, Magnet designation, and opportunities for transition to practice programs with mentoring and career growth.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN preferred; candidates may be in progress of program.
• RN license is required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care using the nursing process and standards of practice.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care.
• Collaborate with care teams and educate patients and families.
• Participate in transition-to-practice programs and mentoring.
