Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch is seeking a competent Clinician to join our Nursing & Care Management team on site in Galveston, TX. The role focuses on delivering patient-centered nursing care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, following the Texas Nurse Practice Act and UTMB policies.

The incumbent will handle routine to complex nursing tasks, teach patients and families, and participate in unit safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN with current license to practice professional nursing in Texas.
• Two (2) years of inpatient hospital experience (most recent within the last 12 months).
• Must have current BLS certification through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document daily patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy and standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
• Educate patients and families using Teach-Back and evidence-based resources.
• Promote safety, quality, and adherence to clinical workflows.
