Job summary

SageWest Health Care – Lander is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical/Surgical unit in Lander, Wyoming. The RN provides patient care using the nursing process in an acute hospital setting, collaborating with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessments, developing care plans, administering meds, documenting care, and supporting families. Strong clinical skills and EMR familiarity are essential; BSN preferred and a state RN license required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN license or compact state license is required.
• BLS, ACLS, CPI are required per facility policy.
• CPI and specialty certifications are preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of Medical/Surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and ongoing patient assessments and reassessments.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes timely.
• Provide direct patient care including ADLs, nutrition, hygiene, and mobility.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the care team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for discharge planning and referrals.
• Provide emotional and psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Ensure safety with infection control and fall prevention protocols.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff.
