Job summary

Virtua Health in Marlton, NJ seeks a registered nurse to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care through outcome identification and evidence-based practice, in a dynamic hospital setting.

As an integral member of the health care team, you will coordinate patient care, communicate with the team, patients, and families, educate on disease processes, safety and wellness, and uphold high professional ethics while participating in orientation, performance improvement activities

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid NJ RN License.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate efforts of a team of care providers.
• Knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessment leading to development, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care.
• Administer, monitor and document therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Effectively manage rapidly changing situations.
• Participate in clinical decision-making.
• Educate patient and family regarding disease process, individual care needs, wellness, safety issues, etc.
• Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of nursing department and healthcare team.
• Demonstrates standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice.
• Participates in orientation, education and development of healthcare team.
• Identifies and participates in the performance improvement activities.
• Maintains professional and departmental level competencies.
