Impact Health Staffing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13-week contract in Morgantown, WV. Shift is 7p-7a with a 36-hour work week. Regular rate is $18.03/hr; OT rate is $50/hr; a non-taxed travel stipend is $1,246/wk and gross weekly pay is $1,895.

This role requires documenting and performing assessments, establishing goals, administering PT treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility, supervising support staff, and guiding patient discharge and home programs with family involvement.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of Med Surg RN experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performing and documenting initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Evaluating assigned patients and establishing appropriate treatment goals and treatment programs.
• Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility.
• Providing ongoing evaluation of patient’s status and goals, modifying treatment programs for timely progression.
• supervising activities of physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel.
• Providing patient education to include the development of comprehensive home programs with instruction to the patient, family, and other caregivers as appropriate to facilitate a safe and effective discharge.
• Planning and/or assisting with patient discharge from therapy services.
