Seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse for a travel nursing job in Jefferson City, Tennessee (zip code 37760). Travel Nursing Job Details

• Job Title: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Jefferson City, TN 37760 (Tennessee nursing jobs)
• Facility: Modern hospital with a 34-bed Med/Surg unit
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract (Start: 9/15/2025 – End: 12/15/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Patient Ratio: 1:6 / 1:7 at capacity
• EMR System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Must reside at least 50 miles from Jefferson City, TN

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg patients in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, recovery, and discharge planning
• Float to other units as required to support hospital staffing needs
