Position Purpose

The Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse/Graduate Practical Nurse consistently performs their duties demonstrating an understanding of the essential job functions as reflected in the Medical Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse/Graduate Practical Nurse job description, department and hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines. Utilize the nursing process to provide quality patient care under the supervision of the registered nurse.

Education:

Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes: Clinical expertise, teaching/instructing, clerical accuracy, communication skills, listening abilities, independent thinking/sound judgment; ability to deal with stress, able to react to emergency and crisis situations, committed to quality of care.

Licenses/Certificates
