Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Clinical Educator to lead education and staff development across the facility and affiliated service lines. The role emphasizes training and competency assessment to ensure high-quality patient care.

The educator will ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards related to Clinical Education, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and supporting clinical staff through ongoing education programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Four years of clinical acute care nursing experience required; critical care strongly preferred.
• Two years of clinical education experience or project inclusion preferred.
• Experience with regulatory education requirements in acute care settings and program development/coordination preferred.
• BLS required within 7 days. ALS and PALS required within 30 days.
• Current Missouri or compact state RN licensure is required.
• Competence in practice and participation in ongoing educational opportunities.

Job description

The Clinical Educator provides education and clinical staff development and training throughout the facility and affiliated service lines. Providing education and competency assessment, the Clinical Educator ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards associated with Clinical Education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Four (4) years of clinical acute care nursing experience is required; critical care experience is strongly preferred.
• Two (2) years of clinical education experience or project inclusion is also preferred.
• Experience with regulatory education requirements in acute care settings and program development/coordination is preferred.
• BLS required within 7 days. ALS, and PALS certifications required within 30 days.
• Current Missouri or compact state RN licensure is required.
• Competence in practice as appropriate for previous experience or completion of an orientation program. Participates in ongoing educational and training opportunities.
