Talented Medical Solutions in Montana seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform complex analyses on blood, body fluids, tissues, and other clinical specimens, helping physicians diagnose and treat diseases.
You will collect, prepare, and analyze samples across hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and blood bank, operate and calibrate instruments, document results, and ensure quality control and proficiency testing.
A Medical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for conducting complex tests on blood, body fluids, tissues, and other clinical specimens. These tests help physicians diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases. MLTs ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results while maintaining strict standards of quality control and safety.
Collect, prepare, and analyze biological samples using specialized equipment and techniques.
Perform tests in various laboratory departments such as:
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and ensure proper calibration.
Record and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and precision.
Communicate critical findings to physicians and other healthcare professionals promptly.
Follow protocols for specimen handling, storage, and disposal.
Maintain lab documentation and participate in quality assurance and proficiency testing.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and infection control protocols.
Train and supervise laboratory assistants or junior staff if required.
Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science.
Certification: Certification/licensure by a recognized body (e.g., ASCP, CSMLS, AMT, or national regulatory authority).
Experience: Clinical laboratory experience (may vary by employer).
Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and scientific techniques.
