Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide / Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications safely, accurately, and with dignity at our facility in New Jersey. The role emphasizes precise medication handling, documentation, and adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, Medication Administration certification, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication skills; senior care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.

What We're Looking For:

• Senior care experience preferred
