Job summary

KLA is seeking a motivated summer intern to work in the Metrology division on advanced mechatronics systems. You will learn to operate in a corporate environment and gain hands-on experience solving real problems while developing control systems on high-precision wafer stages.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. with minimum 3.5 GPA
• A Master's degree is preferred in electrical, robotics, control systems, mechanical engineering, data science or related field
• Experience in Machine Vision, Precision machine design or Machine Learning
• Experience in the validation of hardware systems

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and work with design engineers to design advanced metrology systems.
• Work independently on data collection, analysis, and managing projects.
• Perform hands-on work with hardware and gather the necessary data in the lab or the cleanroom.
• Present the technical analysis in both verbal and written format and presentations to the team.
• Work in specified timelines and milestones.
• Willingness to take on responsibility and ability to quickly ramp from the existing documentation and on-job training.
• Identify any gaps and propose solutions in the implementation.
• Ability to modify tuning algorithms.
• Use first principles in the design work when needed.
