Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment and mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, 1+ year of Microsoft Office experience, ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Flexibility to work a rotating schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience.
• 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience.
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience.
• 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Maintain positive working relationships across Amazon Operations facilities.
• Move up to 49lbs, stand/walk up to 12 hours, climb ladders safely, and perform bending, lifting, reaching.
