Job summary

C&W Services in Akron, OH is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance Team, repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems, and installing/maintaining automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and mentor junior technicians.

A high school diploma and 2+ years of MHE/conveyor experience are required; flexible shifts in a warehouse

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience repairing MHE or automated conveyors.
• 2+ years predictive and preventative maintenance experience.
• 1+ year blueprint/electrical schematic reading.
• 1+ year knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
• Experience with a CMMS.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Ability to work flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

• Safety: Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Maintenance: Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE and conveyors.
• Monitoring: Create, assign, and close out work orders with labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used; track inventory.
• Support: Mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.
• Communication: Maintain positive working relationships across the Operations facility.
