Amazon Inc. is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to join the Operations Maintenance team at our Madison, TN facility. You will repair and maintain material handling equipment and pneumatic systems, install and service automated packaging and distribution gear, and mentor junior technicians.

Formación

• 1+ year of Microsoft Office experience.
• 2+ years of predictive and preventive maintenance.
• 2+ years repairing MHE or automated conveyors.
• 2+ years reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 2+ years of safety standards experience.
• 1+ year troubleshooting MHE.
• 2+ years conveyor systems/controls experience or apprenticeship cert.
• High school diploma.
• Flexible schedule incl. nights & weekends.

About the Role

As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will use your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. In addition to developing your skills, you will mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.

Key job responsibilities

• promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation
• troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more
• maintain a positive working relationship across all of the Amazon Operations facility
• must be able to move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and without limitation, as well as perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• 2+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience
• 2+ years of repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical/controls equipment experience
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience
• 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
• 1+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience
• 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience, or certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program
• High school or equivalent diploma
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and safety standards
• Experience with robotic operation and maintenance

USA, TN, Madison - 31.30 - 33.30 USD hourly

The starting pay for this position is listed below, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
