Westmag is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to design, develop, and integrate electromechanical systems for drone motors and robotic actuators. You will collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing teams to optimize product performance and reliability.

This role blends mechanical, electrical, and software engineering to advance Westmag's cutting-edge motor technologies in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3+ years building mechatronic systems used in a high volume production environment.
• Experience with embedded software development and hardware integration.
• Proficiency in CAD software and circuit design tools.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electro-mechanical systems for the production and testing of drone motors and robot actuators.
• Integrate electrical, mechanical, and software subsystems to deliver reliable, repeatable production systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product introduction.
• Design, build and test manufacturing automation equipment, such as pick-and-place, load-and-unload, and automated in-line testing equipment.
• Document technical specifications, design decisions, equipment manuals, and maintenance schedules.
• Analyze emerging technologies and conduct R&D projects when applicable.
