Job summary

CircuitHub, Inc. in South Deerfield, MA, is seeking Mechatronics Engineers to own projects end to end on The Grid. You will take a problem from concept to a working machine, designing, prototyping and validating with AI-assisted CAD and in-house CNC tooling.

You’ll work across our US and UK sites, translate requirements into clear specifications, and balance mechanical and software solutions to improve throughput while maintaining reliability in live production.

Qualifications

• Must have built mechanical or robotic systems before, ideally in production or prototyping.
• Not a narrow specialist; able to own a project across mechanical and software domains.
• Able to collaborate across sites in the US and UK.

Responsibilities

• Conceive new mechanisms to handle electronics parts using AI to scope and specify problems.
• Design gantries and end effectors in Fusion 360.
• Use AI agents to run engineering calculations and verify results.
• Machine prototype parts in our in-house CNC shop.
• Analyse end-effector behaviour from video and refine geometry for throughput and reliability.
• Program machine behaviour on our in-house robotics OS, with AI agents handling heavy lifting.
• Specify sensors to catch errors during production and monitor processes.
• Prototype and deploy a test robot for inline PCB validation.
• Commission machines and hand over to the build team for scale-up.
• Collaborate with our US and UK sites to share learnings and shape the roadmap.
