Job summary

Business Innovation Group (BIG) is the materials and equipment division of Caribbean Sign Supply, providing installation, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of professional equipment for signage and printing industries. The role focuses on delivering high-quality service and ensuring proper operation of complex machinery.

The technician will travel across Puerto Rico, occasionally internationally, install and service printers, cutting machines, plotters, boards and other equipment, and support

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechatronics Technology, Electronics, or related field.
• Previous experience in mechatronics, electronics, repair, or technical service.
• Knowledge of electronic and mechanical equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality technical service to customers.
• Diagnose, repair, maintain, and assemble equipment such as printers and plotters, cutting machines, electronic boards, and traffic control equipment.
• Install equipment sold by BIG and ensure proper operation.
• Provide basic customer training on equipment use.
• Inspect equipment received for repair.
• Complete and document work sheets in OTIXE.
• Verify parts received before performing repairs.
• Manage warranty cases with suppliers.
• Complete installation and service reports.
• Participate in physical inventory counts and daily SCRUM meetings.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow confidentiality and company procedures.

Business Innovation Group (BIG) is the materials and equipment division of Caribbean Sign Supply. BIG provides professional equipment, technical support, maintenance, repair, and installation services for the signage and printing industries.

Position Purpose

Provide excellent technical service through the installation, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of equipment, ensuring proper operation and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality technical service to customers.
• Diagnose, repair, maintain, and assemble equipment such as:
• Printers and plotters
• Cutting machines
• Electronic boards
• Traffic control equipment
• Other specialized equipment
• Install equipment sold by BIG and ensure proper operation.
• Provide basic customer training on equipment use.
• Inspect equipment received for repair.
• Complete and document work sheets in OTIXE.
• Verify parts received before performing repairs.

Position Conditions

• Availability to travel throughout Puerto Rico and occasionally internationally.

• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when required.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Mechatronics Technology, Electronics, or a related field.Previous experience in mechatronics, electronics, repair, or technical service.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods.
