Job summary

Apple, Inc. is seeking a Mechatronics Controls Engineer in Sunnyvale, CA to develop, prototype, and validate advanced electro-mechanical sensor systems. You will implement calibration, sensor fusion, estimation, and control algorithms across hardware platforms, with a hands-on approach.

Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, embedded FW, and AIML teams to deliver end-to-end mechatronics experiences. The role involves real-world testing, modeling, simulation, and potential relocation support,

Qualifications

• MS in Engineering, Robotics, or CS.
• 8+ years of related experience in development, theory, design, modeling, and implementation of control systems.
• Proficient in C/C++ and Python or MATLAB; strong hardware/software integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build robust state estimation, sensor fusion, and controls algorithms.
• Develop extensive testing, tuning and evaluation systems for these algorithms.
• Perform simulation and analysis to support use cases and specs.
• Maintain positive relationships with internal customers and hardware/software teams.
• Drive sw/hw algs/sensor/controls integration and tuning on multiple platforms.
• Develop test/validation plans and lead execution of these activities.
• Consult on applications of estimation, sensors, simulation, and controls design.
