Job summary

VVWater is seeking a skilled Automation Technician to build, integrate, and maintain electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and automated systems powering its water purification tech. You’ll work across actuators, sensors, PLC interfaces, and robotics to turn concepts into field-ready solutions.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in mechatronics, hydraulics, and robotics, with the ability to read drawings and troubleshoot complex electromechanical assemblies in a safety-focused shop environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in automation, electromechanics, mechatronics, hydraulics, robotics, or industrial equipment assembly.
• Able to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&IDs.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Experience with servo/stepper controllers or motion control is a plus.
• Water treatment or industrial equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain actuators and drive systems.
• Assemble and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Integrate sensors and wiring into automated assemblies.
• Assist controls engineers with PLC/SCADA integration.
• Build fixtures, jigs, and subassemblies for development/production.
• Read mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Perform testing, calibration, and tuning.
