Job summary

Beltways in Hebron, Kentucky, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern to design assemblies in Siemens NX, support product development and BOM collaboration. You will work on mechanical validation and service planning, while addressing challenges at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

The role involves rapid prototyping with 3D printing, iteration based on test results, and a path toward hands-on learning while pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently obtained a Bachelor’s or Masters in Mechanical Engineering or related major.
  • Reliable commute to the headquarters in Hebron, Kentucky.
  • CAD - Designing assemblies and components in Siemens NX, supporting product development and product optimization, preparing accurate 2D drawings for review.
  • BOMs – Collaborating on BOMs, mechanical validation, and service planning.
  • Collaboration - Solving real-world problems at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Math Skills - Applying statics and fundamental physics equations.
  • GD&T - Understanding of GD&T and interpreting engineering drawings, specifically ASME Y14.5-2009.
