Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of mechanical/tool design experience in industrial/manufacturing automation.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience with SPMs, conveyors, material handling, and high-speed automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation, assembly systems, SPMs, conveyors, and handling systems.
• Design pick-and-place systems using pneumatic, servo, and robotic tech.
• Develop jigs, fixtures, tooling, and automation equipment for manufacturing.
• Select bowl feeders, sensors, servo motors, LM Guides, and components.
• Create detailed drawings, BOMs, layouts using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Perform strength, speed, and other design calculations.
• Review designs for manufacturability, materials, and compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors, programmers, machinists, fabricators, toolmakers.
• Support machine debug, integration, troubleshooting, and completion.
• Lead design activities with onsite/offshore teams.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Tool Designer with strong expertise in industrial/manufacturing automation, machine design, tooling, SPMs, and mechanical design using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop manufacturing automation, assembly systems, SPMs, conveyors, and material handling systems.
• Design pick-and-place systems using pneumatic, servo, and robotic technologies.
• Develop jigs, fixtures, tooling, and automation equipment for manufacturing and assembly.
• Select bowl feeders, sensors, servo motors, LM Guides, and other mechanical components.
• Create detailed drawings, BOMs, layouts, and engineering documentation using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Perform engineering calculations related to strength, force, speed, horsepower, pressure, and other machine-design requirements.
• Review designs for accuracy, manufacturability, material selection, and OSHA/CE compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors, programmers, electrical designers, machinists, fabricators, and toolmakers.
• Support machine debug, integration, troubleshooting, and final system completion.
• Lead and coordinate mechanical design activities with onsite/offshore teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of mechanical/tool design experience in industrial or manufacturing automation.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience with SPMs, conveyors, material handling, high-speed automation, and robotic systems.
• Hands‑on experience with bowl feeders, sensors, servo motors, LM Guides, pneumatic systems, jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, BOMs, GD&T, material selection, machining, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of electrical devices such as switches, load cells, and LVDTs.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
• Ability to coordinate with 10–12 member onsite/offshore teams.
