Job summary

Actalent seeks a Mechanical Test Engineer to own and operate a robotics test laboratory in North Reading, MA. You will manage hardware infrastructure and design fixtures and tooling to support rapid hardware validation.

You will develop and execute test plans to validate performance, reliability, and durability of robotic systems, applying solid mechanics fundamentals and hands-on electromechanical assembly experience.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and advanced proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and detailed drawings.
• Experience in building, integrating, and troubleshooting robotic hardware and electromechanical assemblies in a lab setting is required.

Responsibilities

The Mechanical Test Engineer owns and operates a robotics test laboratory, managing hardware infrastructure and designing mechanical fixtures and tooling. They are responsible for developing and executing test plans to validate the performance, reliability, and durability of robotic hardware systems.
