Job summary

MSR-FSR in Chandler, Arizona, is looking for a Mechanical Technician to support system repair and maintenance in the semiconductor industry. You will interface with operations personnel, complete work plans, and troubleshoot mechanical systems including HVAC. An Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and 3+ years of related experience are required. Job description

Mechanical Technician

Mechanical Technicians are responsible for system repair, maintenance, and overall operation in the semiconductor industry. Systems can include but is not limited to: exhaust systems, chillers, boilers, compressors, pumps, and HVAC.

Responsibilities
  • Support of the maintenance of mechanical and process systems
  • Daily interface with operations personnel and facilities engineers and other technicians to coordinate project work in a live running factory
  • Completing detailed work plans and workplace documentation
  • Troubleshooting of controls including wiring and instrumentation etc.
  • Must be able to execute work plans for maintenance, repair, conversion work to be conducted without any unplanned impacts i.e. rotating equipment, workarounds, and bringing systems back online
  • Understanding of overall system operations from a facilities standpoint
  • Troubleshooting of field devices and control hardware and software
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a Mechanical Engineering Technology field or related with 3+ years of experience in Industrial mechanical systems operations and/or vibration analysis
  • Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and CHW and HW process systems and operation
  • Prefer experience with all types of Mechanical instrumentation including Flow, Pressure, Temperature, Humidity, Control Valves, AFD’s etc. installation and application

  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including protective eye wear, hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and respirators.
  • Must be able to safely access and traverse indoor and outdoor obstacles for site inspections, including climbing ladders, walking on stairs, catwalks, and other types of uneven surfaces where activity inspections are needed.
