NCBiotech in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Mechanical Technician II to build or repair parts, components, and assemblies. You will read diagrams, blueprints, and written instructions to ensure pieces meet quality standards on a fast-paced manufacturing floor.
The role requires hands-on proficiency with hand and power tools, good eyesight, and the ability to work both in a team and independently. You’ll identify defective items and follow safety procedures to keep production moving smoothly.
The Mechanical Technician ll works with a variety of tools and machinery to make or repair parts, components, sub-assemblies, and complete systems. The ability to comprehend and follow detailed verbal or written instructions, as well as diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documents is a critical part of the position.
Technicians must have an aptitude for mechanics and an eye for detail. The Mechanical Technician ll ensures that all parts and products under their care are in proper working order and meet the quality standards of the company and industry.
The employee is required to stand and/or sit while performing repetitive tasks for extended periods of time. The employee must frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception. Work is performed on a manufacturing floor. Employee must follow proper safety protocols.
