Job summary

Rwdy-Inc is seeking a Mechanical Technician I in Carlsbad, NM, with a 5/2 schedule, on-call rotation, and 8 hours per day (40 hours per week) plus potential overtime. Compensation is $32.00 per hour plus an agency vehicle, reporting to a supervisor.

The role focuses on maintenance tasks across centrifugal/gear pumps, LACTs, PDP pumps, vapor recovery units, gas lift compression, and various instrument air systems, with training provided for areas of less experience.

Qualifications

• Discipline-appropriate certification(s) or equivalent professional experience.
• Clear and concise communication of field conditions and remediation steps.
• Team player with cross-team collaboration.
• Able to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the use of all on-the-job safety tools
• Review job packs
• Identify any safety issues and ensure removal/mitigation prior to working
• Execute work as planned
• Record technical history as required by workgroup (Global Reliability Tool, data sheet, etc.)
• Provide feedback on job pack improvements to Execution FLS
• Request permits and notify Supervisor if permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time

5/2 schedule with participation in an on-call rotation; 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week with potential OT

Scope

Technicians are assigned to carry out maintenance work. This can either be an ExxonMobil (XOM) employee or a Contractor resource. Typically reports to a supervisor.

The manager is looking for a mechanic with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Centrifugal pumps and gear pumps
• LACTs and PDP pumps (triplex/quintuplex)
• Vapor recovery units (screw compression)
• Gas lift compression (reciprocating electric-drive units)
• Instrument air systems and dryers

Candidates are not expected to have experience in all of these areas. Those with a solid background in some of these disciplines and a willingness to learn will be provided additional training.

Tasks and Responsibilities
