Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions in Orlando, FL is seeking a Mechanical Technician to read and interpret engineering drawings and parts lists, and to use hand tools, calipers, clecos, and drills for accurate fabrication.

The role involves assembling moderately complex electromechanical assemblies, light prototyping fabrication, and machine work with shear, press brake, milling, or lathe. Pipe bending experience is a plus and attention to detail is essential for quality results.

Qualifications

• Read engineering drawings and parts lists.
• Use hand tools, calipers, helicoil tools, clecos, combination squares, drills, taps, safety wire pliers, ratchets and wrenches.
• Assemble moderately complex electromechanical assemblies.
• Light fabrication for prototyping.
• Experience with machine tools such as shear, press brake, manual milling machine, or lathe.
• Pipe bending is a plus.
